Annapurna Base Camp trek is a complete package of adventure, beauty, cultural awakening, and views of endangered flowers and animals. With so many things to offer in a single trek, it remains one of the most chosen trekking destinations in the world. In this journey, you shall pass via rhododendron forest, cross gushing rivers, watch the terraced farmlands, and reach at the base camp of the world's 10th highest peak. You shall also get a chance to bath in a natural hot spring! In relatively less period of time, you shall have some lifelong memories made in this trek.

Mt. Gangapurna, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Machhapuchhre, etc. are some of the mountains that shall accompany you throughout this journey. The best of the views of these mountains can be enjoyed from Annapurna Sancturay. Through the Magar and Gurung villages, you shall get opportunities to experience different cultures from you own.

This trek covers a 12 day itinerary which starts from your arrival in Kathmandu. A day shall be spent to enjoy the major attractions of the valley, and the next day, you shall fly to Pokhara. Drive of an hour from there takes you to Naya Pul. Then you shall start trekking towards Ghandruk, the beautiful village on a slope inhabited by Gurung community. Next day, you shall make to Chhomrong Village, and then another day takes you to Bamboo Villlage. Walking through the dark, cold, and damp trail in the bamboo forest, you shall reach Deurali. Next day you shall reach to the Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 1:Arrival at Kathmandu

Our representative shall be expecting you at the Tribhuvan International Airport to pick you up and take you to your hotel. After you are fresh from your rest, you are free to stroll around the city. We shall enjoy typical Nepalese dishes at a restaurant together. Spend overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2:Sightseeing at Kathmandu

Known for its art, architecture, culture, and temples, you might have lots of see in Kathmandu. There are some UNESCO world heritage sites such as the Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhhanath, and Basantapur Durbar Square you might fancy a visit. You can do some shopping for your trek in the afternoon. After a short debrief session about the trek, you can rest at your hotel. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3:Flight to Pokhara/ Trek to Ghandruk

Your flight to Pokhara shall be full of mountain views. After you reach there, you shall be taken to Nayapul in a vehicle. Then, you shall start trekking towards Ghandruk. Via Birenthanti when you reach this beautiful village of Ghandruk, you shall be amazed by the plenty of mountain views it offers. Gurungs are the main inhabitants of this village; there's a Gurung museum. Stay overnight at Ghandruk.
 
Altitude: Pokhara: 823m; Ghandruk: 1,940m

Day 4:Ghandruk to Chhomrong

The climb to Kimrung Danda is equipped with views of Mt. Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, etc. After an hour of climb to his place, you shall climb down to Kimgrong Khola before again climbing up to the Chere Danda. An easy trail lets you descend down to the Chhomrong Village. The Annapurna Ranges always overlook this beautiful village. Stay overnight at Chhomrong.
 
Altitude: Chhomrong: 2,170m

Day 5:Chhomrong to Bamboo

It’s a long descend down to Chhomrong Khola on the series of small stone steps; there are about 2500 steps. Cross the bridge in the river, and then ascend uphill. On you way, you shall pass Sinuwa Village, and make through the dense forest of rhododendrons before reaching the Kuldihar Village. Descend down comfortably to reach the Bamboo Village. Stay overnight at Bamboo.

Day 6:Bamboo to Deurali

The village Bamboo is named after its forest full with bamboos. Initially, the trail goes in the midst of the forest, damp, cold and blocked light. On you way, you shall pass the Himalayan Hotel, after which the Glacier River down charms you. Leaving the Hinku Cave, a descent brings you to the river. Crossing the river, an ascent uphill brings you to Deurali. The memory of waterfalls, uneven vegetation, river and cliffs shall flood in as you spend your night here.

Day 7:Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC)

Trekking through the river bed takes you to the Macchapuchhre Base Camp; it is relatively strenuous journey. Then the vegetation around you starts do get scattered and few in number. The Annapurna Sanctuary shall amaze you with close ups of Annapurna range with Mt. Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, and other mountains. You shall dream under the watching mountains tonight.
 
Altitude: Annapurna Base Camp: 4,130m

Day 8:ABC to Bamboo

Now begins your return journey. After breakfast in the morning, enjoying the sunrise view, you shall descend down to Deurali. Few ascents and lots of descents takes you to the Hinku Cave, Himalaya Hotel, and the again back to the damp, cold, and dark forest of Bamboo. You shall not have any problem today as most of the trail includes descending. Stay overnight at Bamboo.

Day 9:Bamboo to Jhinu Danda

Climbing to Kuldighar, a gentle descent takes you to Chhomrong Khola. Then comes the long stone stairs you had descended down before; but you shall ascend this time. The mountain vistas, dense vegetation, and fresh air shall never leave you throughout the journey. You might fancy a bath in a natural hot spring here; the feel of warm water in this place far from your home captivates you. Stay overnight at Jhinu Danda.
 
Altitude: Jhinu Danda: 1,760m

Day 10:Jhinu Danda to Naya Pul/ Drive to Pokhara

After breakfast in the morning, you shall start your descent down to Naya Pul. From there, you shall drive back to Pokhara. Since you wouldn't have had time to stroll around Pokhara in this itinerary before, you can explore this beautiful city today. Visit the lakes, waterfall, caves, and evening strolling in the lakeside. Stay overnight in Pokhara.
 
Altitude: Naya Pul: 1,070m; Pokhara: 823m 
 
Day 11:Flight to Kathmandu

A short flight from Pokhara takes you to Kathmandu. Our representative shall drop you at your hotel. Rest for a while, and then you can pay visit to the nearby attractions of the city. Otherwise, a lazy evening stroll may be quite productive. We shall again be sitting together for a dinner. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.
 
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,320m

Day 12:Departure

Get your bags ready; our representative shall be waiting in the hotel. They shall drop you at the airport in time and part away from there. Have a safe and happy journey back to your destination. Long live the memories of the trail.
