Everest High Pass Trek is a wonderful package for adventure seekers who want to cross the three most popular passes in the Everest region—the Kongma La Pass, the Cho La Pass, and the Renjo La Pass, and other peaks like Gokyo Ri, and Kalapatthar. Together with adventure, you get to see the beautiful turquoise lakes of Gokyo Valley, visit the Everest Base Camp, and enjoy the staggering views of glowing mountains in early sunrise from the Kalapatthar. Through valley, several villages, Chortens, Mani Walls, forests rich with pine, juniper, fir, and rhododendron, across several rivers and streams, over several glacial moraines and rocky dunes, this trek is a paradise of adventure, beauty, and colorful culture. Nothing can beat the strenuous climb in the day, and warm and soft bed overlooking the looming mountains in the evening!

The 20 days itinerary starts after your arrival in Kathmandu. You shall fly to Lukla and start trekking towards Namche Bazar via Phakding. Via Dingboche, Chhukung you head towards Lobuche crossing the Kongma La Pass on your way. Past Lobuche, you shall reach Gorakshep and visit the Everest Base Camp. Next day, you shall climb to Kalapatthar and return back to Gorakshep and head off to Lobuche. Via Dzongla, crossing the Cho La Pass, you shall reach Gokyo. Back from Gokyo, on your way to Marlung, you shall cross the third pass—the Renjo La Pass, and reach Namche Bazar. Via Lukla, you shall fly back to Kathmandu.

Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,320m
 
Welcome to the city of Gods. Our representative shall receive you from the airport and take you to your hotel. Rest for a while, and then you are free to do your solo adventure in this city. We shall dine together in the evening enjoying local cuisines. These introductory taste shall give you hints of what to expect during your stay in Nepal for lunch and dinner. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2:Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,320m
 
There are Basantapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, and Bouddhanath that are enlisted in World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. The street of Thamel is so colorful and busy that you might want to visit them. It is the best place for shopping your trekking gear. We shall together join a meeting talking about the plan and arrangement of the trek in the late afternoon. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3:Flight to Lukla/ Trek to Phakding
Altitude: Phakding: 2,651m
 
A fly of 30 minute takes you to Lukla from Kathmandu. Once you reach Lukla, you shall start descending downwards for an hour to reach the village of Cheplung, and the first mountain to greet you will be Mt. Khumbila—nobody has climbed it because it's a sacred mountain. Further descent of a couple of hours take you to Phakding. Stay overnight at Phakding.

Day 4:Phakding to Namche Bazar
Altitude: Namche Bazar: 3,438m
 
You shall make several ascents and descents and cross the Dhudh Koshi River and its tributaries before reaching the Benkar Village, where the Mt. Thamserku looming overhead greets you. Further venture takes you to the Sagarmatha National Park. After your permit is checked here, a further continuation of the trail arrives at the village of Jorsale. Across the Hillary Suspension Bridge, an ascent brings you to Namche Bazar. Stay overnight at Namche Bazar.

Day 5:At Namche Bazar
Altitude: Namche Bazar: 3,438m
 
You shouldn't waste your acclimatization day without doing anything; rather you have to be quite active. You can hike to the Khumjung Village, visit the Khumjung Monastery and the Hillary School. You can visit the Sagarmatha National Park to get some of the most spectacular views of mountains. To know more about the Sherpa people and the history of this region, you can visit to the Sherpa Museum. Stay overnight at Namche Bazar.

Day 6:Namche Bazar to Tengboche
Altitude: Tengboche: 3,860m
 
The trail to Phunki Thanga is easy. The trail ascends uphill towards Tengboche from Phunki Thanga. Tengboche boasts the largest monastery in the whole Khumbu region—the Tengboche Monastery. The journey shall let you witness the views of Mt. Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, and the Everest. Stay overnight at Tengboche.

Day 7:Tengboche to Dingboche
Altitude: Dingboche: 4,360m
 
The trek begins with descending downhill through forest full with birch, rhododendron, and conifers. Witnessing the views of Mt. Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Everest, the trail shall descend down to Debuche. Across the Imja River, the trail takes you to Pangboche. Witnessing the monastery and mountain views, past the Imja Valley, across the Lobuche River, you shall climb uphill to Dingboche. Stay overnight at Dingboche.

Day 8:At Dingboche
Altitude: Dingboche: 4,360m
 

Dingboche is a beautiful village with fields of buckwheat, barley, and potatoes surrounded by stone walls. You can visit the Dingboche Monastery. You can walk to Nagarjun Hill that offers breathtaking views of Mt. Cholatse, Lhotse, Makalu, Tawache, Ama Dablam, and so forth. Explore the village; you shall find all sorts of climbers resting here. Stay overnight at Dingboche.

Day 9:Dingboche to Chhukung
Altitude: Chhukung: 4,750m
 
Past the terraced fields protected with stone walls and the Imja Khola Valley, the trail reaches Bibre. Trekking further, managing through the icy intersections of streams, the trail leads you to Chhukung. Once you reach there, after a short rest, you can climb uphill to Chhukung Ri. The top offers magnificent views of Mt. Ama Dablam and other peaks. Stay overnight at Chhukung.

Day 10:Chhukung to Lobuche via Kongma La Pass
Altitude: Lobuche: 4,940m; Kongma La Pass: 5,535m
 
Today is a special day; early in the morning you shall climb uphill towards Kongma La Pass. After the strenuous climb uphill, the top of the pass welcomes you with colorful prayer flags. The views from the top is spectacular; after spending a while you shall descend down. Through the glacial moraines, you shall make through the Khumbu Glacier to Lobuche. Stay overnight at Lobuche.
 
Day 11:Lobuche to Gorakshep and Everest Base Camp
Altitude: Gorakshep: 5,170m; Everest Base Camp: 5,364m
 
Today's also the glacial moraines pave your way. After a short climb uphill to Thangma Riju, further climb to the Changri Glacier, the trail takes you to Gorakshep. Again, past moraines, rock dunes, and streams, you reach at the Everest Base Camp. Take your camera out and capture some of the most beautiful pictures ever. After spending a while here, you shall descend back to Gorakshep. Stay overnight at Gorakshep.

Day 12:Gorakshep to Kalapatthar and Lobuche
Altitude: Kalapatthar: 5,545m; Lobuche: 4,940m
 

Early in the morning, you shall make towards the top of Kalapatthar through steep trail. The top offers you the magnificent views of the surrounding mountains, all glowing in the sunrise; this is certainly the moment you would never forget. After spending a while here, you shall descend downhill towards Gorakshep, and continue towards Lobuche. Stay overnight at Lobuche.

Day 13:Lobuche to Dzongla
Altitude: Dzongla: 4,830m
 
Near to the Khumbu Glacier, the trail descends downhill. A right turn shall take you to view the Awi Peak. Past a Chorten and further ahead—some tombstones, the trail ascends uphill with view of Chola Tsho Lake. Further ahead lies another lake, past which comes the Chola Khola, across lies today's destination—Dzongla. Stay overnight at Dzongla.

Day 14:Dzongla to Gokyo via Cho La Pass
Altitude: Cho La Pass: 5,368m; Gokyo: 4,800m
 
Looking at the Mt. Ama Dablam and Cholatse, and the Cho La Lake, you shall climb uphill through boulders on the steep trail. Past crevasse, when you make to the top of the pass, you shall be captivated by the views of mountains all around you. After spending a while here, you shall descend towards Thangnak. Make through the Ngozumpa Glacier, across an iron bridge comes the first lake of Gokyo, and further ahead lies the second and the third lake. Stay overnight at Gokyo.

Day 15:At Gokyo
Altitude: Gokyo: 4,800m
 
You have the whole day to explore Gokyo. Visit the fourth and the fifth lake; from there, the view of Ngozumpa Glacier is magnificent. Early in the morning, you can hike to the Gokyo Ri Peak and get the best views of mountains, valleys, landscape, and the glacier down below. The viewpoint at the fifth lake offers amazing views of Mt. Nuptse, Lhotse, Makalu, and the Everest. Stay overnight at Gokyo.
 
Day 16:Gokyo to Marlung via Renjo La Pass
Altitude: Renjo La Pass: 5,360m; Marlung: 4,210m
 
Early in the morning, you shall trek around the third lake—Dudh Pokhari, and after walking for a couple of hours, you shall descend for Renjo La Pass. Like the Gokyo Ri, you get similar views from the Renjo La Pass—the views of mountains including the Everest, the Gokyo Lakes and the Gokyo Valley, and the view of Ngozumpa Glacier. Through the stone steps, past the Angladumba Tsho Lake, witnessing the Relama Tsho and Renjo Lake, through boulders, leaving the village of Lumde, you shall reach Marlung. Stay overnight at Marlung.

Day 17:Marlung to Namche Bazar
Altitude: Namche Bazar: 3,438m
 
Following the route of ancient trade, crossing the Bhote Koshi River, the trail descends down to the Taranga Village. Further the trail descends down, across two rivers lie the Thame Village. Witnessing the Gompa of Thame, you shall descend down via several villages to reach Namche Bazar—the busy hub and town in the whole Everest region. Stay overnight at Namche Bazar.

Day 18:Namche Bazar to Lukla
Altitude: Lukla: 2,860m
 
Crossing the Dudh Koshi River and several tributaries, witnessing the views of mountains, the trail takes you through pine and rhododendron forests. Past several villages inhabited by Sherpa, you shall climb to Lukla. After reaching Lukla, you can stroll around the place, exploring as much as you can. Next day you have a flight to Kathmandu. Stay overnight in Lukla.

Day 19:Flight to Kathmandu
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,320m
 
In the morning, you shall fly all the way to Kathmandu. Our representative shall take you to your hotel there. After resting, you can go for short strolling. You can also shop today. We shall be sitting together dining in a famous restaurant, enjoying Nepalese dishes. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 20:Departure

Our representative shall be waiting for you to get ready outside the hotel. They shall then take you to the airport and bade goodbyes, and return back. Have a happy journey. Do recommend us to your friends. For your next trekking plan in Nepal, do remember us.
