Everest Renjo La Pass trek is a perfect blend of adventure, natural beauty, wonderful landscape, and cultural-feel. Climbing Renjo La Pass, Cho La Pass, Gokyo Ri and Kalapatthar are the days of adventure. The beautiful blue lakes of Gokyo Lakes shall leave you speechless. You shall be trekking via some old and ancient places traders used to do trade in history. Further, you come to stay at the birthplace of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa—one of the first climbers to summit Everest. Dudh Koshi, Bhote Khoshi, and other glacial streams shall accompany you throughout the trek. Deep forest full with rhododendrons, pines, and firs shall greet you, and the glowing mountains in the sky shall always guide you. The trail also goes through several small villages, Mani Walls, Chortens, Stupas, and prayer flags, wrapping your foreign soul in a spiritual hug.
The 21 days itinerary for this trek begins after your arrival in Kathmandu. After an extra day here, you shall fly to Lukla and start your trek towards Phakding towards Namche Bazar. After an additional day at Namche Bazar, you shall head off to Thame, and in your way to Gokyo from Lungden, you shall cross the Renjo La Pass. From Gokyo, you shall trek towards Thangnak, and on you way to Dzongla, you shall cross the Cho La Pass. Via Lobuche and Gorakshep, you shall reach the Everest Base Camp. Then, you shall return back to Gorakshep and head off to Lobuche, after witnessing the sunrise from Kalapatthar the next day. Via Dingboche, you shall return back to Namche Bazar, and via Phakding, Lukla, you shall return back to Kathmandu.

Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome. Our representative shall be waiting for your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport to take you to your hotel. After you freshen up and rest for a while we shall be sitting together for a short debrief session about the trekking itinerary and relevant issues. You shall have your permits made ready. Stay overnight at your hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2:Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,400m
 
Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhhanath, Basantapur Durbar Square, etc. are some of the world heritage sites enlisted by UNESCO in the Kathmandu. These are certainly the most important attractions you might not want to miss. You can do some shopping for the trek. We shall enjoy dinner together at a popular restaurant of the city, tasting some local cuisines. Stay overnight at your hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 3:Flight to Lukla; Trek to Phakding
Altitude: Lukla: ; Phakding: 2,652m
 
A mountain flight of 35 minutes takes you to Lukla. Once you reach Lukla, you shall embark your journey in the Everest region right away. Enjoying the mountain views, you shall make through the Dudh Koshi Valley, cross the river after a comfortable climb, pass the Chaurikharka and Chilung Villages, and walk to the Phakding Village. Stay overnight at Phakding.

Day 4:Phakding to Namche Bazar
Altitude: Namche Bazar: 3,440m
 
Before you arrive at the Monjo Village, passing the Dudh Koshi Valley, you shall make through the forest of pines, and cross the Dudh Koshi River via suspension bridge. This marks the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. An ascent takes you to Jorsale Village, and then via Rhododendron and fire forest you shall climb to Namche Bazar. Stay overnight at Namche Bazar.

Day 5:At Namche Bazar
Altitude: Namche Bazar: 3,440m
 
Visiting the Sherpa museum is best if you wish to expand your knowledge of Sherpa people and their lifestyle with mountains. Similarly, Kongdi Ri (6,187m) can be another landscape to enjoy during your acclimatization here. Also enjoy a promo-view of Mt. Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Thamserku, Kwangde, Tawache, and the Everest. Let your body adapt with the growing altitude. Stay overnight at Namche Bazar.
 
 
Day 6:Namche Bazar to Thame
Altitude: Thame: 3,800m
 
A 5-6 hour walk from Namche Bazar passing several Stupas and Chortens takes you to Thame. Throughout the journey you shall see several colorful prayer flags blowing in the wind and several Mani Stones. This trip from Namche Gompa takes you to the birthplace of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa—one of the first persons to summit Mt. Everest. Stay overnight at Thame.

Day 7:Thame to Lungden
Altitude: Lungden: 4,500m
 
Today the trail follows the path covered by ancient traders to trade salt and grains to Tibet. Before a comfortable ascent, the trail goes over moraine. Passing Marulung the trail with boulders descends down to Lungden. Lungden is the last village before crossing the Renjo La Pass. Stay overnight at Lungden.

Day 8:At Lungden
Altitude: Lungden: 4,500m
 
The day is yours. There's an ancient valley that used to be on the trade way to Tibet—the Nakpa Valley. You can pay a visit to this valley. Otherwise, you can hike to the Darkyachhulung Peak. There are some sacred places of war-field, do not miss them. You can also visit the Cho Relmo Lake. Acclimatization is the key to any trekking journey; it lets you adopt with high altitude. Stay overnight at Lungden.

Day 9:Lungden to Gokyo via Renjo La Pass
Altitude: Renjo La Pass: 5,415m; Gokyo: 4,750m
 
Early in the morning, you shall leave the bed and ascend uphill towards Renjo La Pass; this pass is considered relatively in comparison to other passes in the Khumbu region. The top offers you staggering views of mountains and landscape. After spending a while there, you shall descend down to Gokyo, crossing an iron bridge. At first Gokyo greets with the first lake called Longpongo. You shall find lama footprints there. Further, it grips your heart with the beauty of the second lake named Taboche. At the end of the third lake lies the Gokyo Valley. Stay overnight at Gokyo.

Day 10:At Gokyo
Altitude: Gokyo: 4,750m
 
Visit the fourth lake—Thonak Tsho, the fifth lake—Ngozuma Tsho. Climb to the ridge to observe the magnificent views of Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu, Gyachung Kang, and the Everest. Also, get the better view of Ngozumpa Glacier from the top. Gokyo is the perfect reward after crossing the Renjo La Pass. Acclimatization is another important factor the benefits your stay at Gokyo. Stay overnight at Gokyo.
 
Day 11:Gokyo to Thangnak
Altitude: Thangnak: 4,700m
 
Morning brings the wonderful vies of sunrise in Gokyo. Witnessing the views of Mt. Thamserku, Kusum Kangaru, Kangtega, Lhotse, Makalu, Nuptse, and other moutains, the trail shall lead you towards Thangnak. On you way, the trail crosses the Gokyo Glacier. Further 4 hour takes you to Thangnak.

Day 12:Thangnak to Dzongla via Cho La Pass
Altitude: Cho La Pass: 5,330m; Dzongla: 4,830m
 

Early in the morning, you shall follow the trail to the top of the Cho La Pass. The climb can be quite challenging on the rocky trail. Depending upon the weather, you might have to make through ice before arriving at the top of Cho La Pass. All these efforts are going to pay when you reach the top; nothing can beat the panoramic views of mountains. Further, you shall descend down to Dzongla. Stay overnight at Dzongla.

Day 13:Dzongla to Lobuche
Altitude: Lobuche: 4,910m
 
The initial trail is easy to walk through. Passing boulders, witnessing the views of Mt. Ama Dablam, Dughla Lake, the trail keeps pressing on for another 4 hours to reach today's destination—Lobuche. Once you reach Lobuche, you shall be amazed by the views of Mt. Kangtega, Thamserku, Tawache, and other mountains. Stay overnight at Lobuche.

Day 14:Lobuche to Gorakshep and Everest Base Camp
Altitude: Gorakshep: 5,164m; Everest Base Camp: 5,364m
 
The trail goes over the glacial moraines, ascending and descending, twisting and winding on the rocky path. From Gorakshep, you shall keep walking towards the base camp via rocky boulders and moraine. Once you reach there, you might love to unpack you cameras and capture some of the best shots of your lifetime. After spending some time there, you shall descend down to Gorakshep. Stay overnight at Gorakshep.

Day 15:Gorakshep to Kalapathhar and Lobuche
Altitude: Kalapatthar: 5,545m; Lobuche: 4,940m
 
Early in the morning, the rocky trail shall take you to the top of Kalapatthar. The top offers you the best views of the glowing mountains in the rising sun. This is one of the most spectacular moment in the entire trek that might seize you heart, literally. After spending some time on the top, you shall descend down to Gorakshep, and then down towards Lobuche. Stay overnight at Lobuche.
 
Day 16:Lobuche to Dingboche
Altitude: Dingboche: 4,360m
 
The trail over the moraine leads you to Dughla, and descends down to a glacial stream. Through the rhododendron and juniper forest, you shall descend down to Dingboche. Once you reach there, you get to see the best views of snow-capped mountains of Imja Peak and Island Peak. It takes about 4-5 hours from Lobuche to reach Dingboche. Stay overnight at Dingboche.

Day 17:Dingboche to Namche Bazar
Altitude: Namche Bazar: 3,440m
 
Through the forest full with rhododendrons and small firs, the trail shall drop down to Tengboche, witnessing the views of Mt. Tawache, Kwangde, Nuptse, Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, and Ama Dablam. Passing the monastery in Tengboche, the trail descends down to Dudh Koshi River. Passing the Kyanjuma and Khumjung, you shall reach Namche Bazar. Stay overnight at Namche Bazar.

Day 18:Namche Bazar to Lukla
Altitude: Lukla: 2,840m
 
The trail goes through pine forest to cross the Dudh Koshi River over a suspension bridge. Alongside the river, the trail continues until Jorsale. Further trekking takes you to Phakding through several villages and suspension bridges. You shall continue your return journey from Phakding until you reach Lukla. Next day you have a flight back to Kathmandu. Stay overnight at Lukla.

Day 19:Flight to Kathmandu
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,320m
 
It takes about 30 minute to reach Kathmandu from Lukla via a mountain flight. Our representative shall take you to your hotel. Your body needs a generous amount of rest to ease off and return back to its normal energy; take good rest. You can make a lazy stroll in the evening, if you feel like it. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 20:Explore Kathmandu
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,320m
 
This is your day, feel free to visit the major attractions of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur. There are several world heritage sites in these three adjacent cities. You might also fancy some shopping for your return the next day. We shall be sharing our trekking experience over dinner in a popular restaurant enjoying some typical Nepalese dishes. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 21:Departure
Be ready with your luggage, our representative shall pick you up from your hotel and take you to the airport and part away. Have a happy and safe journey back to your home.
