Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek comes with a package of adventure of crossing of Renjo La Pass, breathtaking mountain views, and mystic lakes with their blue sheet of water in Gokyo. Renjo La Pass is one of the three popular passes in the Khumbu region. Through the glacial moraines you shall make to the top of the pass and witness the sheer beauty of nature in the mountain. Gokyo is another major attraction of this trek; as you cross the stream, you shall be greeted by the first lake of the Gokyo, and the other two—the second and the third one after another, till they take you to the valley. The view from Gokyo Ri is simply breathtaking; the four highest mountains—Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and Makalu look great. You shall also visit the fourth and the fifth lake in Gokyo.

The 15 days itinerary of the trek starts after your arrival in Kathmandu. You shall fly to Lukla and begin trekking towards Phakding before reaching Namche Bazar. From Namche Bazar, you shall trek to Dole, and then to Machhermo, and over the glacial moraine of Ngozumpa Glacier, you shall reach Gokyo. After spending a whole day there, you shall descend down to Lungden via Renjo La Pass. Past Thame, Namche Bazar, Lukla, you shall return back to Kathmandu.

Day 11:Lungden to Thame

Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,320m
 
Our representative shall be waiting in the airport for your arrival; they shall take you to your hotel. You can stroll around the city, walk about the busy and colorful streets of Thamel. We shall be enjoying Nepalese dishes together in the dinner in the evening. These introductory meals shall help you imagine the kinds of lunch and dinner you might expect in Nepal. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2:Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,320m

Day 3:Flight to Lukla/ Trek to Phakding
Altitude: Phakding: 2,652mm
 
Witnessing the hills and mountains below, you shall fly all the way to Lukla. After reaching there, you shall start trekking towards Phakding. Past the Chheplung's airstrip, across the Thado Koshi River, looms the views of Mt. Kusum Kangaru. Past Ghat and Mani Walls, you shall reach Phakding. Stay overnight at Phakding.

Day 4:Phakding to Namche Bazar
Altitude: Namche Bazar: 3,445m
 
Interestingly, you shall make across the Dudh Koshi River and its tributaries about five times. An ascent uphill takes you to Jorsale Village. Entering the Sagarmatha National Park, after getting your permits checked, you shall continue your journey. Across the Hillary Suspension Bridge, an ascent takes you to Namche Bazar—the Gateway to Everest. Stay overnight at Namche Bazar.

Day 5:At Namche Bazar
Altitude: Namche Bazar: 3,445m
 
Namche Bazar is a great place to remain busy. You can hike up to the Khumjung Village and visit the Khumjung Monastery and the Hillary School there. You can visit the Sagarmatha National Park and get some of the best views of several mountains. You can visit the museum where you can see the skull of mountain giant 'Yeti'. You can also hike up to the Everest View Hotel. Stay overnight at Namche Bazar.
 
Day 6:Namche Bazar to Dole
Altitude: Dole: 4,150m
 
After an ascent uphill, you shall make all the way to a cross road. Following the lower trail you shall reach Phortse. You shall find some ancient monasteries and a hydroelectric powerhouse. Through the forest full with rhododendron forest, past Tonga and Gyele Villages, you shall arrive at Dole. Dole offers amazing views of Mt. Khumbila and Tawache. Stay overnight at Dole.

Day 7:Dole to Machhermo
Altitude: Machhermo: 4,470m
 
An ascent uphill takes you through the forest full with juniper, and pastures. Witnessing the views of Mt. Cho Oyu, Thamserku, and Kantega you shall reach Machhermo. Once you reach there, you have the rest of the day to explore the village. Next day you shall reach the mystic place of Gokyo. After a day of walk in the foreign mountain, nothing can beat the pleasure of good rest. Stay overnight at Machhermo.

Day 8:Machhermo to Gokyo
Altitude: Gokyo: 4,750m
 
The trail is quite steep, past the Pangram, you shall have to conquer through the moraine of Ngozumpa Glacier. The trail then descends down to a stream, across the iron bridge, the first lake of Gokyo welcomes you. You shall find the footprints of Lama on a stone there. Further ahead is the second lake and the third lake. Beside the third lake lies the Gokyo valley. Stay overnight at Gokyo.

Day 9:At Gokyo
Altitude: Gokyo: 4,750m
 
Early in the morning you shall hike uphill to the Gokyo Ri (5,360m). The top of the peak offers you magnificent views of Nepal's four highest peaks out of seven—the Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and Makalu. Along with the mountains, the views of the valleys are hilly landscape is amazing from there. You shall then hike to the fourth and the fifth lake, from here the views of Ngozumpa Glacier is spectacular. Stay overnight at Gokyo.

Day 10:Gokyo to Lungden via Renjo La Pass
Altitude: Renjo La Pass: 5,360m; Lungden: 4,350m
 
Early in the morning, you shall climb uphill. Via the steep trail you shall reach at the top of the Renjo La Pass. The top offers magnificent views of mountains such as Mt. Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Cho Oyu etc., and the views of Rermo Pokhari Lake, Rolwaling, and Gokyo lakes. Past the third lake, you shall descend downhill to the Bhote Koshi Valley. Further ahead lies today's destination—Lungden. Stay overnight at Lungden.

Day 11:Lungden to Thame
Altitude: Thame: 3,850m
 
Thame boasts the Thame Monastery. After breakfast in the morning, you shall descend down to the Thame Village. At the monastery, you can also witness Buddhist ceremony. Once you reach there, you have the whole day to explore the village. Witness the beauty of evening as the distant mountains slowly blurs and remains silhouette in the night. Next day you shall reach Namche Bazar. Stay overnight at Thame.

Day 12:Thame to Namche Bazar
Altitude: Namche Bazar: 3,440m
 
After Thame, the trail descends downhill through several small villages. Namche Bazar is the largest settlement of Sherpa people in the Khumbu region. It boasts the facilities of ATMs, government offices, restaurants, shopping areas, and so forth. It is the only hub for the Khumbu region. After you reach here, you can have the remaining day to explore the town on your own. Stay overnight at Namche Bazar.

Day 13:Namche Bazar to Lukla
Altitude: Lukla: 2,810m
 
The trail descends down to the Hillary Suspension Bridge. Past the Sagarmatha National Park, witnessing the fading views of mountains, you shall cross the Dudh Koshi River and its tributaries several times. Past the Sherpa villages, forest full with pines and rhododendrons, you shall ascent to Lukla. After you reach there, you can rest for a while, or you can also go for a light strolling of the town. Stay overnight in Lukla.

Day 14:Flight to Kathmandu
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,320m
 
A 30 minute flight on a Twin Otter takes you to Kathmandu. Our representative shall take you to your hotel. After you rest, you can go for shopping or strolling around the street and nearby attractions. We shall be sharing our trekking experience over dinner in a popular restaurant in the evening. Stay you last night in Kathmandu.

Day 15:Departure

After you are ready, our representative shall take you to the airport. They shall bade goodbyes and return back. Have a happy journey. Please recommend us to your friends. For your next trek in Nepal, do remember us.
