Annapurna Circuit trek is one of the most spectacular treks in the Annapurna region. The 14 days itinerary of this trek starts after your arrival in Kathmandu. An extra day shall be spent exploring the valley and visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Next day, you start your trip by drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar and Dharapani. From Dharapani, you will continue to Chame, Pisang, and Manang, where you will have a rest day to acclimatize the high altitude as it is very important process while trekking along the high altitude trails. The route then moves through Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi, High Camp. Next day, on your way to Muktinath, you shall cross the Thorong La Pass and this is the day for your greatest accomplishment of this trip. From Muktinath, you will drive to Tatopani via Jomsom, Marpha and Kalopani. Tatopani, literally meaning hot water, is the natural hot spring spot to rejuvenate your mind and body. From Tatopani, you will trek upto Ghorepani and visit Poon Hill View Point from where you can enjoy the most beautiful panoramic view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Fish Tail. From Ghorepani, you will trek to Tikhedhunga to start your drive back to Pokhara.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,320 m) and transfer to hotel.

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you'll be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After checking in, you can either rest or explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu, anticipating the adventure ahead.

Overnight: Kathmandu.

Day 2 : Drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani village (1,820 m) - 04 hrs.

After breakfast, drive to Besisahar along Trishuli and Marshyangdi River valley and then Dharapani village, situated at an altitude of 1,820 meters. The journey takes you through picturesque landscapes, offering glimpses of traditional villages and terraced fields. Dharapani provides the first taste of the unique culture along the Annapurna Circuit.

Overnight: Dharapani

Day 3 : Trek from Dharapani to Chame (2,710 m) - 5 hrs.

Start your trek with an invigorating hike to Chame. The five-hour trek offers a gradual ascent, allowing you to acclimatize to the changing altitude while enjoying the pristine beauty of the Annapurna region.

Overnight: Chame

Day 4 : Trek from Chame to Pisang (3,115 m) - 5 hrs.

Continue the trek to Pisang, ascending through rhododendron forests and crossing suspension bridges. Pisang, situated at 3,115 meters, offers stunning views of Annapurna II and Pisang Peak. The diverse landscapes add to the charm of the trek.

Overnight: Pisang

Day 5 : Trek from Pisang to Manang (3,540 m) - 4 hrs

Trek to Manang, traversing through arid landscapes with breathtaking views of the Annapurna range. Manang, at an elevation of 3,540 meters, serves as an acclimatization stop and allows time to explore the local culture and surroundings.

Overnight: Manang

Day 6 : Rest day in Manang for acclimatization and local excursion

Take a well-deserved rest day in Manang for acclimatization. Explore the village, visit monasteries, and enjoy panoramic views of Gangapurna and Annapurna. This day prepares you for the upcoming challenges, minimizing the risk of altitude-related issues.

Overnight: Manang

Day 7 : Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110 m) - 4 hrs

Resume the trek to Yak Kharka, ascending through alpine landscapes with sparse vegetation. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, and Yak Kharka, at 4,110 meters, provides a tranquil setting for the night.

Overnight: Yak Kharka

Day 8 : Trek from Yak Kharka to High Camp (4,900 m) -4 hrs

Ascend to High Camp, trekking through rocky terrain and enjoying panoramic views of Annapurna and Gangapurna. High Camp, situated at 4,900 meters, serves as the final stop before the challenging Thorang La pass and offers a taste of high-altitude trekking.

Overnight: High Camp

Day 9 : Trek from High Camp to Muktinath (3,800 m) via Thorang la pass (5,416 m)- 6 hrs

Experience the thrill of crossing Thorang La pass at an elevation of 5,416 meters, the highest point of the trek. Descend to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site at 3,800 meters, known for its religious significance and unique landscapes.

Overnight: Muktinath

Day 10 : Drive from Muktinath to Tatopani (1,200 m) - 4 hrs

Descend from the high altitudes to Tatopani, known for its natural hot springs. The four-hour drive provides a well-deserved respite, allowing you to relax and rejuvenate.

Overnight: Tatopani

Day 11 : Trek from Tatopani to Ghorepani (2,880 m) - 6 hrs

Resume the trek up to Ghorepani, ascending through terraced fields and rhododendron forests. Ghorepani, at an altitude of 2,880 meters, is a charming village with panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

Overnight: Ghorepani

Day 12 : Hike to Poon Hill (3,210 m) and trek to Tikhedhunga (1,440 m -6 hrs) and drive to Pokhara

Wake up early for a hike to Poon Hill, a vantage point offering stunning sunrise views over the Himalayas. Descend to Tikhedhunga, trekking through picturesque landscapes and traditional villages. The trek concludes with a drive to Pokhara, a scenic city nestled by Phewa Lake. Enjoy the serene ambiance of Pokhara, explore the Lakeside area, and reflect on the memorable Annapurna Circuit trek.

Overnight: Pokhara

Day 13 : Fly or drive to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

Either take a short flight or drive back to Kathmandu, providing different perspectives of the landscape. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and reflect on the incredible journey across the Annapurna Circuit. 

Overnight: Kathmandu

Day 14 : Departure
