Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1320m) and transfer to the hotel.

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our representative at the Tribhuvan International Airport. After a warm welcome, you will be transferred to your hotel where you can rest and relax after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you might have some free time to explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu or simply unwind and prepare for the exciting journey ahead. In the evening, you will have a briefing about the trek where you'll meet your guide and fellow trekkers.

Day 2 : Fly from Kathmandu or Ramechhap to Lukla (2820m), Trek to Phakding (2645m)

Early in the morning, you will have breakfast at the hotel before heading to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport for a scenic flight to Lukla. When there is no flight from Kathmandu Airport, the flights will be from Ramechhap, 2-3 hours drive from Kathmandu. The flight itself is an exhilarating experience as you soar over the breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas. Upon landing in Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region, you will meet the rest of the trekking crew and begin your trek. The trail initially descends towards Dudh Koshi River, passing through small villages and lush forests filled with rhododendron and pine trees. After around 3-4 hours of trekking, you will reach Phakding where you will spend the night.

Day 3 : Trek from Phakding (2645m) to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

After a hearty breakfast in Phakding, you will continue your trek towards Namche Bazaar, the vibrant heart of the Khumbu region. The trail follows Dudh Koshi River and crosses several suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags. As you ascend higher, you will be treated to stunning views of Mt. Thamserku (6608m) and Mt. Everest (8848m) in the distance. Upon reaching Namche Bazaar, you will be greeted by the bustling streets filled with colorful prayer flags, shops, and teahouses. This vibrant Sherpa town offers stunning views of Kongde Ri (6187m) and other surrounding peaks.

Day 4 : Rest and Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar (3440m)

Today is set aside for acclimatization to the high altitude. Acclimatization is crucial to ensure your body adjusts properly to the decreasing oxygen levels as you ascend higher. You will spend the day exploring Namche Bazaar and its surroundings. You can visit the Sherpa Cultural Museum, which provides insights into the Sherpa culture and history of mountaineering in the region. Alternatively, you can hike to the nearby Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other surrounding peaks. After a day of exploration, you will return to Namche Bazaar for another overnight stay.

Day 5 : Trek from Namche Bazaar (3440m) to Tengboche (3867m)

After breakfast in Namche Bazaar, you will resume your trek towards Tengboche, a picturesque village famous for its monastery and stunning views of Mt. Everest and Ama Dablam. The trail ascends gradually, offering spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks along the way. You will pass through serene forests of rhododendron and pine, with occasional sightings of Himalayan wildlife such as musk deer and Himalayan thar. Upon reaching Tengboche, you will visit the ancient Tengboche Monastery, one of the most significant monasteries in the Khumbu region. You can also soak in the panoramic views of the surrounding peaks before settling in for the night at a tea house in Tengboche.

Day 6 : Trek from Tengboche (3867m) to Dingboche (4340m)

Today, you will have the option to trek either to Pheriche or Dingboche, but we usually trek to Dingboche through a route that offers stunning views and unique experiences. Along the way, you will be surrounded by magnificent views of the Himalayan peaks, including Mt. Ama Dablam and Mt. Lhotse. Dingboche is a beautiful village nestled beneath towering peaks, and the views from here are truly mesmerizing.

Day 7 : Trek from Dingboche (4340m) to Lobuche (4960m)

Today, you will trek from Dingboche to Lobuche, a challenging yet rewarding day of the trek. The trail ascends steadily, offering panoramic views of the Khumbu Valley and surrounding peaks. As you ascend higher, you will notice the landscape becoming more rugged and barren, with scattered vegetation. Along the way, you will pass through memorials dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest expeditions. The trail continues towards Lobuche, a small settlement nestled amidst the towering peaks of the Himalayas. Upon reaching Lobuche, you will be greeted by breathtaking views of Nuptse (7861m) and other surrounding peaks.

Day 8 : Trek from Lobuche (4960m) to Everest Base Camp (5364m) via Gorak Shep (5360m)

Today is the highlight of the trek as you make your way to Everest Base Camp, the starting point for climbers attempting to summit the world's highest peak. The trail from Lobuche to Gorak Shep is rugged and rocky, with minimal vegetation. Upon reaching Gorak Shep, you will have a short break before continuing towards Everest Base Camp. The final stretch of the trek is challenging but incredibly rewarding as you finally reach the iconic Everest Base Camp. Here, you will be surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks, including Mt. Everest itself. Spend some time soaking in the awe-inspiring views and capturing memories before retracing your steps back to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay at a tea house.

Day 9 : Early morning hike to Kala Patthar (5550m) and back to Pheriche (4240m)

Today, you will embark on an early morning hike to Kala Patthar, one of the best vantage points in the Everest region. The hike to Kala Patthar offers stunning panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and other surrounding peaks bathed in the golden hues of the sunrise. After enjoying the mesmerising sunrise views, you will descend back to Gorak Shep for breakfast before retracing your steps back to Pheriche. The descent allows you to appreciate the landscape from a different perspective as you make your way back to the lower elevations.

Day 10 : Trek from Pheriche (4240m) to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

After breakfast in Pheriche, you will begin your trek back towards Namche Bazaar, retracing the familiar trails through picturesque villages and lush forests. The descent offers ample opportunities to appreciate the stunning Himalayan landscapes and reflect on the incredible journey you've undertaken. As you descend, you may encounter fellow trekkers and locals, sharing stories and experiences along the way. Upon reaching Namche Bazaar, you can explore the vibrant streets once again and perhaps indulge in some souvenir shopping and dining.

Day 11 : Trek from Namche Bazaar (3440m) to Lukla (2820m)

Today marks the final leg of your trek as you make your way back to Lukla, where it all began. The trail descends steeply, offering one last glimpse of the majestic Himalayan peaks before gradually leveling out as you approach Lukla. Upon reaching Lukla, you can celebrate the successful completion of your trek with your fellow trekkers and the trekking crew. You may also want to explore the quaint town of Lukla and reminisce about the incredible experiences you've had over the past few days.

Day 12 : Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu or Ramechhap (1320m)

In the morning, you will catch an early morning flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu (or sometimes, Ramechhap and drive for 3 hours to Kathmandu). The flight offers one last opportunity to admire the stunning aerial views of the Himalayas before landing at Tribhuvan International Airport. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel where you can relax and unwind after the trek. You'll have the rest of the day free to explore Kathmandu or simply relax and reminisce about your unforgettable Everest Base Camp trek.

Day 13 : Kathmandu (1320m) Sightseeing and curio shopping

Today, you will have the opportunity to explore the vibrant city of Kathmandu and its cultural, religious and historical landmarks. After breakfast, you will embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu's UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Bouddhanath Stupa. These sites offer insights into Nepal's rich history, art, and architecture. After the sightseeing tour, you can indulge in some last-minute curio shopping for souvenirs and gifts to take back home. In the evening, you can enjoy a farewell dinner with your guide and fellow trekkers, reminiscing about the wonderful memories created during the trek.

Day 14 : Departure from Kathmandu

Your adventure comes to an end today as you prepare for your departure from Kathmandu. After breakfast at the hotel, you will have some free time to relax or do some last-minute shopping. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Airport.
