Highlights

Overview

For countless generations, Mount Kailash has stood as the symbolic center of the universe for Hindus — the abode of Lord Shiva. Pilgrims from all over India have dreamt of touching its sacred soil or even glimpsing it from afar. However, due to the rising cost of Tibet travel, strict visa rules, and physical challenges, this spiritual dream has remained out of reach for many.

But what if you could witness the sacred Mount Kailash without leaving or crossing Nepal?

The Limi Valley Kailash View Tour makes this dream possible. This carefully crafted journey takes you deep into Nepal’s far-western Himalayan district of Humla, right up to the spiritual frontier of Limi Lapcha, from where you can clearly see Mount Kailash — majestic, peaceful, and full of divine presence.

This itinerary is specially designed for Indian pilgrims who seek a budget-conscious alternative to traditional Kailash Yatra, without the complex visa procedures or high-altitude treks. You remain entirely within Nepal’s borders, enjoying spiritual depth, scenic beauty, and cultural immersion, all while staying connected to the divine form of Shiva’s sacred mountain.

Day 2 : Spiritual Sightseeing in Kathmandu – Fly to Nepalgunj

Your day begins with a guided spiritual tour to two of Nepal’s most important Hindu sites:

Pashupatinath Temple: A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the holiest temples of Lord Shiva. Here, you can offer prayers, receive blessings, and feel the power of devotion around the sacred Bagmati River. Budhanilkantha (Sleeping Vishnu): This mysterious and ancient stone statue of Lord Vishnu lying on a cosmic serpent is considered highly auspicious and sacred to Hindus.

After lunch, you’ll board a short flight to Nepalgunj, a warm lowland town near the Indian border. This bustling city serves as the gateway to Nepal’s remote northwest, where your adventure will soon unfold.

Overnight in Nepalgunj

Day 3 : Scenic Flight to Simikot (2,900m) – Drive to Kermi (2,670m)

Today begins with a spectacular mountain flight to Simikot, the district headquarters of Humla. This remote Himalayan town is nestled amidst rugged ridges and traditional stone houses. The moment you land, you’ll feel like you’ve entered another world — untouched, quiet, and filled with spiritual energy.

From Simikot, a 4–5 hour off-road drive takes you along high cliffs, deep valleys, and rivers to the village of Kermi. This peaceful village is home to Buddhist traditions, natural hot springs, and kind-hearted locals. Here, the fusion of Tibetan culture and Nepalese simplicity creates a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

Day 4 : Drive to Tugling – Into the Heart of Limi Valley

After breakfast, you continue the journey deeper into the wild and spiritual Limi Valley, a sacred and rarely visited corner of the Himalayas. The road is rugged and adventurous, crossing suspension bridges, high-altitude meadows, and villages that reflect centuries-old Tibetan lifestyles.

By late afternoon, you’ll reach Tugling, a remote settlement perched amid stark beauty. With fluttering prayer flags and distant snow-capped peaks, this feels like a hidden world untouched by time. Here, the air is thin but pure, and the stars at night shine like jewels — a perfect setting for inner reflection and spiritual connection.

Day 5 : Drive to Limi Lapcha – View of Sacred Mount Kailash – Return to Tugling

This is the most awaited day of the entire journey — the sacred moment where your eyes and soul meet Mount Kailash, the cosmic center of the universe.

Early morning, you’ll drive further up to Limi Lapcha, a high Himalayan pass and vantage point located at the spiritual edge of Nepal. From here, on a clear day, the south face of Mount Kailash is visible in all its glory. The mountain stands tall, serene, and profoundly powerful — radiating spiritual calm and energy.

Here, you may offer prayers, chant mantras, meditate, or simply sit in silence to absorb the divine moment. This peaceful environment allows a direct spiritual connection to the mountain, free from the crowds, rituals, and commercialism of traditional routes.

You will spend ample time at the viewpoint before returning to Tugling for the night.

Day 6 : Drive Back to Simikot – Retracing the Path of Peace

With hearts filled with spiritual satisfaction and souls touched by the vision of Kailash, you begin your return journey. The drive back to Simikot gives you time to reflect, relax, and capture final glimpses of Humla’s natural beauty.

Upon arrival in Simikot, you may explore the town, interact with locals, or simply rest and prepare for your flight back.

Overnight in Simikot.

Day 7 : Fly Back to Nepalgunj and then to Kathmandu

Today, retrace your air journey with a flight from Simikot to Nepalgunj, and onward to Kathmandu. The changing scenery from snow-capped mountains to green valleys and then the bustling capital is breathtaking.

Once in Kathmandu, the day is yours to relax or visit additional temples. Many pilgrims choose to revisit Pashupatinath to offer final thanks to Lord Shiva after the blessings received from Kailash.
