Trip Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by Ace Holiday Trek's representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you can either rest from your journey or take a stroll around the vibrant streets of Kathmandu to get a feel of the city's cultural richness.
Popularly known for its  art, architecture, culture, and temples, there are so many things Kathmandu can offer to you.  There are some UNESCO world heritage sites such as the Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhhanath, and Basantapur Durbar Square you might fancy a visit. You can entertain yourself with some  shopping for your trek in the afternoon. After a brief  orientation session , you can rest at your hotel. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Set out on a scenic drive to Pokhara, a picturesque city nestled against the backdrop of the Annapurna and Machapuchare mountain ranges. The journey takes approximately six hours, offering glimpses of terraced fields, traditional villages, and stunning landscapes. Upon reaching Pokhara, you can enjoy the serene ambiance of Phewa Lake or explore the Lakeside area.

Drive to Nayapul and commence the trek to Ghandruk village, situated at an altitude of 2,050 meters. The trail takes you through lush forests, terraced fields, and charming Gurung villages. Ghandruk, with its traditional architecture and mountain vistas, provides a cultural and scenic introduction to the trek.

Trek to Chomrong, passing through rhododendron forests and picturesque landscapes. Chomrong, located at 1,951 meters, offers stunning views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare. The village is a gateway to the Annapurna Sanctuary and the base camp.

Begin your day with an early breakfast at your guesthouse before embarking on the trek to Bamboo. The trail descends steeply through a dense forest of rhododendron, oak, and bamboo. The lush greenery and the sound of the rushing Modi Khola river accompany you as you navigate the sometimes slippery and challenging path. You’ll pass through the villages of Dobhan and Himalaya, where you can take short breaks to rest and enjoy the stunning natural surroundings.

As you continue descending, the air becomes warmer and more humid, a stark contrast to the higher altitudes. The trek is a mix of steep descents and gentle inclines, providing a balanced but still demanding hike. Arriving in Bamboo, a small settlement surrounded by dense bamboo forests, you’ll find a few guesthouses where you can rest for the night. The serene atmosphere of Bamboo offers a peaceful retreat after a day of trekking, allowing you to recharge for the days ahead.

After breakfast, set off on your trek towards Dovan. The trail initially descends through the forested landscape before climbing again towards Dovan, a small village nestled among the trees. The journey involves crossing several small streams and rivers, with the constant sound of flowing water providing a soothing backdrop to your trek.

From Dovan, the trail continues upward towards Deurali. This section of the trek is more challenging, with steeper ascents and the air becoming noticeably thinner as you gain altitude. The vegetation gradually changes as you climb higher, with the dense forest giving way to alpine shrubs and grasses. As you approach Deurali, the landscape becomes more rugged and dramatic, with towering cliffs and the ever-present Modi Khola below.

Deurali is a small settlement with a few guesthouses, offering a welcome respite after a strenuous day. The views from Deurali are spectacular, with the surrounding peaks providing a stunning backdrop. Spend the night here, preparing for the final ascent to Annapurna Base Camp.

Today marks the highlight of your trek as you make your way to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). The trail from Deurali to ABC is shorter but involves a steady climb through the stunning alpine landscape. The path takes you through the Machapuchare Base Camp (MBC) at 3,700 meters, where you can take a short break to acclimatize and enjoy the incredible views of the sacred Machapuchare (Fishtail) Mountain.

Leaving MBC, the trail continues upward, with the terrain becoming more barren and rocky. The air is crisp and cool, and the majestic peaks of the Annapurna massif dominate the horizon. As you approach ABC, the landscape opens up into a wide, glacier-carved amphitheater surrounded by some of the highest peaks in the world, including Annapurna I, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli.

Reaching Annapurna Base Camp is a moment of triumph and awe. The panoramic views are breathtaking, with the towering peaks creating an almost surreal environment. Spend the afternoon exploring the base camp area, taking photographs, and soaking in the incredible scenery. Overnight at a guesthouse in ABC, where you can reflect on your journey and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow trekkers, all sharing in the achievement of reaching this iconic destination.

Descend from Annapurna Base Camp, retracing your steps through Machhapuchare Base Camp and Dovan. The trek takes you through diverse landscapes, and Bamboo at 2,050 meters offers a comfortable overnight stay.

Trek to Jhinu-Danda, a charming village with natural hot springs. Enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot springs, providing a rejuvenating experience after the trek. The village is set against a backdrop of terraced fields and lush greenery.

Descend to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara, enjoying the scenic landscapes along the way. The afternoon in Pokhara is free for individual activities. You can explore more of the city, shop for souvenirs, or simply relax by the lakeside.

Take a scenic drive to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you'll be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for relaxation or exploring more of the city.

On the final day of your Annapurna Base Camp trek, our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your international departure.
