But the inherent problem is that people in those ‘so called modern’ societies have lost their cultural authenticity and alienated in losing their originality or their culture and nature.

But here in Nepal, though not completely immune to the recent socio-cultural and economic trends, we have many rural / village settlements of ethnic people with varieties of authentic practices of their traditions. As more than 70 percent of Nepali people live in the villages and practice their traditional life styles, home stays during village tour give the real opportunity to observe, participate and enjoy the local cultures of ethnic people. No matter whether you are in the southern plain of Terai or in the midhills or in the Himalayas in the north; you can find many traditional villages, people and cultures. And, until today, only those villages present the real face of Nepal, Nepali ethnic people, their civilizations, traditions, religions, livelihood, cultures, custom and everything.
