Born and raised in the historic Gorkha district - the proud homeland of the brave Gurkhas - Kapil Pandey grew up immersed in the rich cultural traditions of the Tamang, Gurung, Newar and Brahmin communities. Surrounded by hills and heritage, adventure was in his blood from the very beginning.
Now based in Kathmandu, Kapil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and has undergone extensive training to become both a certified trekking guide and a skilled cultural, city, and heritage tour guide. With over 25 years of hands-on experience, he has led hundreds of groups through Nepal’s iconic trekking routes and deep into lesser-known, off-the-beaten-path trails and cultural sites. In addition to his deep knowledge of Nepal, Kapil also has guiding experience in India, further enriching his perspective and adaptability. Fluent in English and Hindi, he excels in communication, group management, and client care - particularly with large trekking and touring groups.
