Born and raised in the majestic Solukhumbu district - the home of Everest - Shiva Shrestha was destined for the mountains. Growing up among the Sherpa community, trekking and mountaineering became second nature to him from a young age.
Now based in Kathmandu, Shiva has completed his high school education along with extensive professional training in trekking and climbing. With over 25 years of experience in the field, he has led hundreds of trekking expeditions across Nepal, including both classic routes and remote, off-the-beaten-path trails. His experience also extends beyond Nepal to renowned trekking destinations in Tibet, Bhutan, and India.
Shiva is known for his calm demeanor, professionalism, and dedication. Fluent in English and Hindi, he has the communication skills and leadership ability to manage and guide large trekking groups with ease and confidence. He is highly respected by colleagues and deeply appreciated by guests for his honesty, hard work, and genuine care.
