Trip Itinerary

Yala Peak (5,520m) is one of Nepal's most popular beginner-friendly trekking peaks, located in the beautiful Langtang Himal region. It is an ideal choice for first-time climbers seeking a Himalayan summit without requiring advanced technical climbing skills. The journey combines scenic trekking through traditional Tamang villages, lush rhododendron forests, alpine meadows, and breathtaking glaciers before reaching the summit.

From the top of Yala Peak, climbers are rewarded with spectacular 360-degree panoramic views of some of the Himalayas' most impressive peaks, including Shishapangma (8,027m) in Tibet, Langtang Lirung (7,227m), Dorje Lakpa (6,966m), Gangchempo (6,388m), Naya Kanga (5,846m), and many other snow-covered mountains.

With its stunning scenery, rich local culture, and accessible ascent, Yala Peak offers an unforgettable Himalayan adventure for trekkers looking to take their first step into the world of mountaineering. It is the perfect blend of trekking, climbing, and cultural exploration in one remarkable journey

Today is kept as a reserve day before the summit attempt in case of unfavorable weather, trail conditions, or any unexpected delays during the expedition. This additional day provides flexibility and enhances the overall safety of the climb while allowing more time for acclimatization at high altitude.
If weather conditions, trail conditions, and the health of all team members are favorable, we may proceed with an early summit attempt of Yala Peak (5,500m) on the same day. After reaching the summit and enjoying breathtaking panoramic views of the Langtang region, Tibet, and the surrounding snow-capped mountains, we descend carefully back to Kyanjin gompa overnight stay.
If the expedition progresses according to schedule and the reserve day is not required, the unused day will be added at the end of the trip, allowing an extra night in Kathmandu before departure.
